If I ever fell into a vat of money, because let's face it, a barrel just doesn't go as far as it used to, I think this is the cottage design I would use to build a new edifice on the island.

It would need to be done right, with a well and septic, if it were to be done at all. And obviously I'd ditch the garage and convert that into two more bedrooms instead. Or possibly put the loo on the main floor and have one bedroom down, rather than having the loo upstairs. Click on the photo to go view the floor plans and such.

And maybe make the porch bigger. But this plan has some definite merit.  It's made by a company out of Vancouver BC called "Smallworks".

Now to find that vat.
