I finally remembered to photograph the new-improved view from the porch of the cottage.

I'm not as think as you dumb I am!

You can see clear down to the water now from the porch.

Here's the before (from the fall) and the after, from nearly the same vantage point. You can see all of the scrub that's been pulled out. It's hard to believe there's been that much improvement just by removing one clump of hawthorn!
It's a lot breezier up on the porch now, which is great when it's buggy.

We're off for a week at the cottage where I have no web access, so expect a brief hiatus in the blog posts.
