It's Trippy Like Jiffy Pop!

Somewhere, back in the annals of my Family History, we attempted to make Jiffy Pop over a campfire. While not absolutely certain, I think we may have burned several cases of the stuff attempting to have a tasty camp snack. One of my cousins and I decided that Jiffy Pop was trippy (Not sure why: it's not very "trippy"), ergo anything trippy became "trippy like jiffy pop". My idiolect makes perfect sense once you have the history!

The captain o' cheap is also the Captain o' Campfire Jiffy Pop! He makes it perfectly every time. We're going to have to get him a new "popping mitt" though, because that one's getting a bit melty.


Did you know you're not supposed to pop Jiffy Pop over a camp fire? It's true! Says so in the fine print:










It begs the question: If you're not popping it over a fire, where the heck are you going to make it?

Honestly.

Since the advent of microwave popcorn, does ANYONE make Jiffy Pop indoors?
