I think we found the culprit that has been boring holes into my camp-fire benches. We've got Downy Woodpeckers building a nest in a dead branch on our birch tree!

They are verra cute little guys. I think I'll keep them! We've seen both the male and the female puttering about our tree.

It probably bodes ill for the birch tree that there are birds living inside of it, but I'm not planning to evict them. Mostly because I don't know how I'd even reach them!
