waterskiing

So it's a nice warm day at the lodge.

The big projects are pretty much done for the day and there really isn't time to dive into anything else before we pack up to head home.

What to do.... what to do....

Hey, let's try out the water skis! When we bought the cottage we found an old pair of water skis in the garden shed.

Here, the intrepid captain and his sister prepare on the dock (not shown, me, earlier, in the boat about to drive for the captain when the boat stalled and I couldn't get it started again. I had to paddle most of the way back to shore before Handy Dad came to rescue me in the pontoon boat. I hate That Damned Boat ™.)

Handy Dad is now driving.

This is the captain in the water, realizing that the tow rope is a tangled mess. This is also the captain in the water realizing that the now untangled tow rope isn't actually attached to the boat anywhere.

This is the captain about to depart.

GUN IT!
This is the captain attempting to stand on water skis with water up to his knees because "GUN IT" with That Damned Boat currently means "creep along at about 6 mph".

We really need to get that looked at. This is just ridiculous. Highly entertaining, but still ridiculous.
